From SALT LAKE CITY or PARK CITY

Depart Salt Lake City…take I-80 East bound 24.1 miles toward Cheyenne…at exit 146, near Park City, exit to the right onto US-40 toward Heber. Go southeast on US-40 for 13 miles to Heber City…continue through Heber on US-40 toward Duchesne 68.5 miles…continue east through Duchesne on US-40… approx. 9 miles past Duchesne to the junction with 12000 W/Bridgeland Rd.. (also called E. River Road) (at this junction you will see a sign that says “Bridgeland”), turn left (north) and go in a North-West direction for ¾ mile…just after the bridge turn right onto county road 1544 (also12850 W.)… continue on this road for approx. 8 miles until it climbs up a steep hill and joins Hwy 87… turn left (north) onto Hwy 87 and continue north/northwest for 4 miles through the town of Upalco and just past Big Sand Wash Reservoir until you see a large “Six Lakes” sign on the right side of the road … turn right on the dirt road at the sign…stay to the right on the dirt road (the left fork is a private drive)… after approx. ½ mile you will come to the Six Lakes gate…enter through the gate and meet Six Lakes staff at the Registration Cabin immediately in front of you or turn left (North) at this junction to go to the cabins and right to go to the campgrounds.  You will notice small road signs along the way once you are inside the Six Lakes boundaries.

 

From PROVO or OREM

Depart Provo or Orem on Hwy 89 through Provo Canyon to Heber…at the junction of Hwy 40 in Heber turn right …continue on US-40 southeast toward Duchesne 68.5 miles…
continue east through Duchesne on US-40… approx. 9 miles past Duchesne to the junction with 12000 W/Bridgeland Rd.. (also called E. From ROOSEVELT or VERNAL

(If you are a long-time resident of Uintah or Duchesne County – choose whatever route best fits you to get to the West side of Big Sand Wash reservoir on Hwy 87, once you are there look for the large “Six Lakes” sign.  If you are not familiar with the area, follow the directions below.)

Depart Vernal or Roosevelt on Hwy 40 traveling west…continue on Hwy 40 approximately 4 miles west of Roosevelt… turn right onto Hwy 87 (also called Ioka Lane)…continue on Hwy 87 through the town of Upalco and just past Big Sand Wash Reservoir until you see a large “Six Lakes” sign on the right side of the road … turn right on the dirt road at the sign…stay to the right on the dirt road (the left fork is a private drive)… after approx. ½ mile you will come to a gate and then a fork in the road…turn left (North) at this junction to go to the cabins and right to go to the campgrounds.  You will notice small road signs along the way once you are inside the Six Lakes boundaries.
