The private fishery
Water worth traveling for.
Each lake is stocked with specific trout species in partnership with the Fisheries & Wildlife Department at Utah State University. Every cabin rental includes fishing access, and you can fly fish or spin fish.
- Loon Lake The highest lake, spring-fed. Feeds the whole system. Brook and rainbow trout.
- Duck Lake Shallow shelves around a deep center. Some of the largest rainbows and brookies on the property.
- Eagle Lake The largest lake, holding all four trout species. Big browns and tigers along the north cliffs.
- Island Lake Rainbow and large brown trout, plus largemouth bass, bluegill and tiger muskie.
- Totem Lake The family fishery by the campgrounds. Plenty of rainbows around 12 inches.
- Cliff Lake The newest and deepest lake, fed by Indian Falls. Large rainbow and brown trout.
- Meadow Lake A new addition, with fast-growing rainbow, brown and tiger trout and a few brook trout. Some have passed 8 pounds. An exclusive lake for our fishing members.

Fishing rules
Catch and release, done right.
- Catch and release, with artificial flies and lures only. No bait of any kind.
- A single barbless hook on every fly and lure. No treble or tandem hooks.
- Keep one fish per angler between 11 and 16 inches for $5.
- Keep one trophy fish over 16 inches for $80.
- Clean kept fish outdoors and dispose of the waste properly.
No fishing license is needed on the property. A Utah license is required at Big Sandwash Reservoir and other public waters; buy one from Utah DWR.

Winter at Six Lakes
Great fishing doesn’t stop when the lakes freeze.
When the lakes freeze in January and February, guests staying at Six Lakes are welcome to ice fish. It’s self-guided, so bring your own gear.
Day fishing
Not staying with us?
Day fishing passes (rod fee) are $80 per angler. Call to schedule. Which lakes are open depends on that day’s reservations.
