Fall is in full swing at Six Lakes. Fall is an amazing time of year here at Six Lakes Fishing Resort in Utah. The daytime temperatures are mild, the fishing is great, and the pheasant hunting is open at Pleasant Valley Hunting Preserve down the road! The outdoor recreation opportunities are endless this time of year, here are a few that we enjoy in October and November.

Fishing is a great activity any time of year at Six Lakes Fishing Resort in Utah. Fall is one of the best times of year to fish at Six Lakes. The fish are active and are feeding heavily. Crayfish patterns and woolly buggers are great this time of year for catching big trout. Work them slow and low along the bottom of the lake and you will be rewarded with some very nice trout. Another great way to catch trout in the fall is to hang a balance leech or midge emerger from a strike indicator about 3 feet.

Pleasant Valley Hunting Preserve is just down the road about 15 miles from Six Lakes and is one of the premiere pheasant hunting preserves in the western United States. It is also perfect for any skill level and gives you a great educational experience on bird hunting if you are just learning.
