Utah Winter Family Fishing

Winter at Six Lakes Resort and Fishing Preserve is a beautiful time of year. The contrast between the white snow and red rock creates some picturesque scenery in the winter.  The snow muffles the sounds, and few people are around, so it makes this time of year quiet and peaceful.  The beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the snowy landscapes adds even more spectacular beauty to this already gorgeous time of year at Six Lakes Resort and Fishing Preserve.

Families have begun to discover this time of year at Six Lakes and many families are coming out on the weekends to enjoy the beauty and recreation during this great time of year. Many families are enjoying ice fishing at Six Lakes in the winter. They have private lakes to themselves and children enjoy pulling fish through the ice, ice-skating and sliding on the ice, and sledding. Many families who have never tried ice-fishing before are trying it at Six Lakes and enjoying the sport. Those people that are not interested in ice-fishing still have plenty to do. There are hiking trails throughout the fishing preserve, a spectacular ten-person hot tub overlooks the lakes, or just relax in the cabin and read a book or sit by the warm fire.

Whether you are an avid outdoorsman or like to stay inside and read or sit by the fire, there is something for everyone to do at Six Lakes in the winter. Families have been discovering the last few years that children and adults both love this time of year. It is beautiful and peaceful and there is lots of fun activities to do. Come and enjoy a day catching fish, hiking, playing in the snow, or playing in the hot tub and at the end of the day relax in the hot tub or by the warm fire!
